Commission Process

1. Let’s Talk About Your Vision

Ready to create something special? You can reach me by email, text, or through the Order Here option on the homepage of this website. Tell me a little about the piece you have in mind, whether it’s a portrait of your beloved fur baby, a person, or a special gift.

2. Choose Your Reference Photo

I’ll need a high-quality reference photo of the subject you’d like me to paint or draw. The better the photo, the more detail I’m able to capture in your finished artwork.

3. Customize Your Artwork

Once I have your reference photo, we’ll discuss the size, style, and any preferences you have for your piece. We can also talk about backgrounds, composition, and any special details you’d like included.

This is your artwork, and I want it to feel personal and exactly right for you.

4. Approve & Reserve Your Spot

Once we’ve settled on all the details and you’re happy with the plan, I’ll request a 50% deposit to reserve your commission. Once the deposit is received, I’ll get started creating your artwork.

5. Watch Your Artwork Come to Life

One of my favorite parts of the process is sharing the journey with you! I’ll send you progress photos along the way so you can watch your artwork develop from the first stages to the finished piece.

6. The Finished Piece

Once your artwork is complete, we’ll arrange the best way for you to receive it—whether that’s local pickup or shipping.

The remaining 50% balance will be due upon completion, once your artwork is picked up or shipped.

My Artwork & Materials

🎨 Paintings

For my paintings, I use GOLDEN acrylic paints, known for their rich, vibrant color and excellent durability. Once dry, acrylic paint has a beautiful, smooth finish that gives the artwork a lasting, almost glass-like quality.

I love working on stretched canvas, which allows the colors and details to really stand on their own. Unless otherwise specified, your finished painting will be professionally framed and ready to display.

I intentionally leave my paintings open and uncovered—no glass in front. This allows you to fully see the brightness, texture, and character of the original artwork without anything standing between you and the painting.

✏️ Drawings

I also create detailed drawings using graphite, specializing in both people and animals.

For my drawings, I use Caran d’Ache pencils on high-quality, heavyweight paper. Graphite allows me to create incredibly fine details and subtle shading, making it a beautiful choice for capturing the expression and personality of your subject.

Unlike my paintings, graphite drawings are framed behind glass to protect the artwork and preserve the delicate surface of the paper.
